responsibilities:
First Assistant to surgeon during procedures for surgical cases. Performs complex surgical techniques as directed by physician. Provides post operative care i.e., evaluates patient's physical condition to ensure no secondary complications have occurred, removes sutures, and aspirates wound fluids. Dictates discharge summaries for the medical record and for billing purposes, including final diagnosis, procedures performed, complications, discharge instructions, and narrative summary of patient's stay and pertinent laboratory and pathology findings.

See patients in a clinic setting, performing routine medical assessments and treatments. Performs pre-operative hospital and Clinic day surgery admission histories and physicals for surgical patients. Forms patient assessment and develops preliminary patient care plan. Makes hospital rounds, with physician and/or independently, to monitor patient's current physical condition, assesses changes in condition, adjusts care plan accordingly, writes new orders for medications, lab/x ray tests, etc., and documents all of the above in medical record. Performs all activities in accordance with established policies and protocols.

qualifications:
Completed PA program approved by AMA. Licensure By Texas Medical Examining Board. NCCPA certification. Previous orthopedic experience preferred but not required. $80K to $90K and comprehensive benefits package. E-mail CV to suz@arlingtonortho.com or FAX to 817-299-1704.

Arlington Orthopedic Associates, P.A. is looking for an Occupational Therapist/COTA. We are a group of sixteen surgical, Board Certified specialists, at one convenient location. Our surgeons range from hand specialists to back and neck surgeons. The occupational therapists work with a diverse upper extremity patient population with diagnoses ranging from cumulative trauma disorders to athletic injuries to traumatic amputations and crush injuries. Our practice is expanding and we are in need of a therapist that has a strong interest in upper extremity rehabilitation. Experience in this area is an advantage, but we will train the right candidate.
