Richard Mills Roberts, M.D.

Originally from Amarillo, TX, Dr. Richard Mills Roberts now specializes in orthopedic surgery at AOA Orthopedic Specialists in Irving, TX. Dr. Roberts completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1990. In 1995, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Dr. Roberts immediately went on to complete his Fellowship at San Diego Arthroscopic & Sports Medicine in 1996.

Dr. Roberts has volunteered much of his time to organizations as well as being the Team Physician for colleges, events, and high schools. Dr. Roberts currently serves as the team physician for the University of Dallas, the Dallas Diamonds WNFL, and Irving High School. He has been recognized on multiple occasions by Texas Monthly Super Doc and he has experience as the visiting professor at the Association of Mexican Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Tijuana, Mexico.

Outside of work, Dr. Roberts enjoys water and snow skiing, cheering on his alma mater, the “Fightin’ Texas Aggies,” and spending time with his four children.
